The unwanted sequel to "my admin aplication" and it ain't a sh*tpost...

As the title suggests - I'm resigning; I'm resigning from all staff positions.

And my flair for the dramatic compels me to write a profound address to the Community but I really can't afford to spend too much time typing this out, however momentous the occasion may be... So I'll have to be brief and a bit sloppy and get this out in an hour's time... Here goes...

These past couple of weeks I've been going through a kind of mental breakdown due to personal dramas; I don't really know what to share about that except it's made me take a real hard look at myself and put everything about me under severe scrutiny - nothing was safe, not even what I've held dear for seemingly my whole life, including my time spent here. And my time here has indeed been blessed and I have enjoyed much friendship and a great deal of respect from my fellow epic gamers (naming names here would be quite difficult but I want these people to know that I am incredibly thankful for them).

But it's time to move on... Apart from the very personal reasons, another part of the reason is my disillusionment with every single Warband-like game that we could hope to migrate to in the future, e.g. Bannerlord - my PC can't even handle it all that well (or the other games) and upgrading my PC is unfortunately quite low on my list of priorities.

In a nutshell, I'm having to make some changes in my life - that means both focusing on new things and goals but also letting go of some old ones...

However, it is certainly impossible for me to disappear completely and I expect to remain in the Discord and still interact with the Community and especially my closer friends but in my own time...

Although I have told you this in DMs, I can't let this thread stay empty, so here is the official "thank you".
Kenway, all these years you served NRP, your contribution to the community has been immense. Due to your busy life you have been unable to admin the in-game servers nowadays but your behind-the-scenes work was crucial to make NRP enjoyable for the players and make lives of all Head Admins/Community Managers easier. Your counsel has been deeply valued by everyone from staff and the Council, including me. And let's not forget the time when you were actively admining the server beginning in 2016 as a TA (six years of admining!), your attempts to revive server's population and the time when you were our Head Admin. You have brought in innovative ideas and your magnum opus - the Naval RP map. Let this be known that you have the utmost respect of us all, admins or players, and you will be missed greatly.

Even though I'm half a month late... Thank you for your service Kenway, I had a great deal of fun working with you and the NWRP undoubtedly owes you a great deal for all your contributions. 

 

I hope to still see you around and wish you the best of luck with your life.
