Anyone who says they unironically like either hasn't played it, is lying or is a moron. The "Naval" Mechanics of NW basically consist of standing on two moving platforms (completely devoid of animation or sound) which have no fancy physics, literally coming to complete halt immediately regardless of speed when it hits an obstacle-whether this obstacle is a massive ship or a minuscule rock. The players on the ships fire pot shots at one another in what is essentially RNG piled onto RNG; you hit a random target within your aim zone which is constantly moving in a random direction as the captain directs the boat. The only potentially "fun" parts are: -Boarding, which isn't fun because Warband's weird jumping means that most people just fall to their death -Watching another ship sink We don't avoid naval because of the memes or because "trolls like it", we avoid it because it's absolutely fucking dreadful.
