Gio 4
On our way back from Georgia to Belgium when we were in Bulgaria, a cop asked us 300 euro because we hadn't bought some sticker foreigners have to buy in Bulgaria. How would we have known we needed some shitty sticker? He said that we'll get the car keys back when we paid. My father gave the car keys and said: "here take it, we'll walk to Belgium",then he asked if we had wine because he knew we were Georgian. He said that if we gave him 2 litres of wine and 50 euro he would let us go. Luckily, we got 4 litres of black wine and 6 litres of white wine from a friend. When we opened the trunk, he saw the Georgian white wine (6l), the black wine was hidden so he didn't know. He completely snapped and took it, then he said that he doesn't want the money anymore and happily let us go and wished us a good jouney like we were his best friends. It's not that we didn't have money, it's that some Bulgarian gypsy wanted to steal it, rip wine tho. He told us that the sticker costs 300 euro, when it actually costs 10 euro. On our way to Georgia we bought it in a Bulgarian petrol station because the guy who worked there said we would need it. But on our way back we completely forgot about it because we didn't even use it last time. What if you didn't have 300 euro? The only reason we got out was because they like Georgian wine, which is really good. Lmao the most awkward experience I've had.
Emil 54
I've never been taxed when importing for private use. You'd need a truck to be able to reach the amounts needed for taxation when importing into Sweden. I don't know if it goes for entire EU, but damn you got ripped. It's shitty that that happened to you, but at least you had the wine to spare... it must be that good! I've never really travelled around Europe, aside from a decent class trip to Italy.
