Memories of NRP!

Many of you have been playing the server for several years, and I think it'd be neat to share memories/pictures/whatever that will let us all remember the good times had on NRP.

Personally I always fondly remember the initial addition of grenades and how absolutely dreadful they were before the explosion timer was added. Nothing like having 2 massive AOE explode-on-impact weapons to huck at crowds!

I completely forgot about the nades thing, but now I remember. That was very crazy indeed.

Playing the crappy 'Waterloo' map endlessly because there were literally no other large maps

I remember it first becoming Winterloo, although my Winterloo map with santa and narnia references is in my opinion THE coziest christmas map to ever exist in all of NW.

Seasonal maps are so so good.
I remember Scuba Diving, an enlightened era of NRP

The only seasonal map JB ever had was 9/11 RP

or rather, would have had, had the roaches not roached us in time

scuba diving was a weird meme I never fully understood

Scuba-diving on NRP came with our medic scripts. Not the "NW Update" medic scripts, the ones we got about a year beforehand.
Essentially, flagbearers and rifle sergeants spawned with a butter knife. You could hit people to heal them.

The idea was that two "medics" could go under water and hit one another with their knives every few seconds to perpetually stay healed underwater. It allowed players to indefinitely remain beneath the surface.

medics can still do this fortunately - but most players aren't aware flag bearers still bear a healing knife

Only real MVPs will remember when NRP was down and I stole the Waterloo map and hosted an NRP backup server for a few hours :ScandyThug:

Playing HelmsDeepRP in which all the Partisani would refuse to attack and tried to proclaim an Orc Proletariat. When 30 odd partisani walked up to the gate with their hands up, they were swiftly executed by a Firing Squad. There were no instances of pacifism after that.
